COOLING AND REFRESHING GOA

The Park Hyatt Goa is designed like a Goan Portuguese village. A tiered swimming pool, white sandy beachfront with cushioned easy chairs and excellent spa facilities at the Sereno Spa are trademark design features. With flawless and superlative service and an idyllic setting culminating in the Miranda Bar make the visit to Park Hyatt Resort & Spa and Arossim beach in Cansaulim, a memorable experience.

In the first Park Hyatt in India, has taken great pains. This 45 acre resort has 251 rooms and 13 suites divided into five clusters or 'neighbourhoods', each named after a flower. Each neighbourhood consists of cottages or 'pousadas' which offer rooms and luxurious appointments like spa-style, rain-shower bath, 'secret' gardens and outdoor verandas.

The 'Town Hall' of this exquisite village is the ballroom and the 'Chapel' is the meeting room, while the lobby is called the 'Mayor's House'. The entire area comes under the 'Lobby Plaza', more formal and quieter than the rest of the resort.

The Village Plaza is the focal point of the resort during the day with various activities based here like a village market place. Seven restaurants serve the entire gamut. The Bakery, Juice Bar, Sambar - the south Indian vegetarian restaurant, the Market Grill which serves exquisitely grilled seafood, da Luigi - the Italian trattoria, Masala for Goan and north Indian cuisine, Praia de Luz - the wine and tapas bar, Aquamarine - the pool bar and the popular Miranda - the bar in the lobby designed by the famous Goan cartoonist Mario Miranda where feni-and-feni based drinks are all passion.

The Serene Spa has a comprehensive menu of spa therapies, Ayurveda, yoga, meditation, etc. Spread over 28,000 square feet, the spa has single and double treatment rooms, outdoor spaces, separate sauna and steam facilities for men and women, a beauty salon, gymnasium and an aerobics and yoga studio. Many of the herbs used in the spa are grown on the premises.

If you are looking for an outing to soothe your body and soul, then this is the right choice.
